Dear Dodgers, it's winter...

Like most every year, the winter has come and my beloved Los Angeles Dodgers haven't really made any moves regarding getting us closer to a world series. You may have heard that we recently traded Juan Pierre to the Chicago White Sox. While Pierre will be missed, this trade works out well for the both of us in that it allows us some cap room to work with while giving Pierre the opportunity to play everyday like the proven veteran he is.

That being said, everybody who knows about the dodgers is aware of our obvious problems with starting pitching. Everything from injuries to inexperience haunted us last season yet we managed to overcome and make it to a second NLCS in a row. I am just one of many people out there waiting to see the Dodgers go out and grab some solid starting pitchers to compliment our absolutely dominant bullpen. But as the saying goes, patience is a virtue.

If you recall, it wasn't until long after the winter meetings last year that the Dodgers made the team's most important moves of last season in signing Randy Wolf and Orlando Hudson. So don't be nervous, like most people already are, about not picking up Roy Halladay. We always find a way to make it work. Happy holidays everyone and Think Blue!
